Please help us with our school garden!

We are looking for help with our school garden this summer. If you are interested in helping please complete the following survey so we know what weeks you are available :)

Summer help survey

Our school garden is a vibrant place of learning. All students PreK-4 participate in the care, planting, cultivating, harvesting and cooking with our foods. We use this time to embed important lessons about community, science, mindfulness and place. Below are photos of the work and learning.

Due to our current school closure, the gardening team has put together videos for the lessons that we would be covering each week at school.

We will post a video each week. Then with the food and material drop off we will include a packet that contains all the information, resources and materials necessary to complete the weekly lessons and activities with your families at home. The hope is that by providing this program to you remotely it will keep our young gardeners excited about the life cycle of the garden and might start a small garden at home if you don’t already have one, if you do have one, maybe improve what you already have growing, and finally, we hope that the seedlings that the kids start at home will become healthy seedlings to transplant to our school garden when we return to school!
