Families are the most influential people in a child’s life and early education. They can be powerful partners with schools, working together to make sure that children reach their full potential. This Family-School Compact is a voluntary agreement to share responsibility for student achievement among families, school staff and students.
Families will…
- Be supportive and proud of their student’s individual accomplishments
- Communicate with the school about their student’s interests and needs
- Communicate with their student(s) about school and support them with their schoolwork
- Provide a healthy environment in which their student will have all of their basic needs met
- Treat all of the school community members with respect and kindness both privately and publicly
School staff will:
- Provide a healthy learning environment to support the needs of all students
- Communicate about parent meetings and school events
- Provide the best possible instruction to fit the needs of every student in order to reach their full potential
- Encourage students to make safe and responsible choices both inside and outside of school
- Provide opportunities for families and teachers to discuss their student
- Treat all of the school community members with respect and kindness both privately and publicly
Students will...
- Arrive on time and be prepared for each school day
- Be willing to take appropriate risks and challenge themselves academically
- Ask for help when it is needed
- Show good school citizenship and accept responsibility for their own actions
- Show respect for their bodies and take pride in their accomplishments
- Treat all of the school community members with respect and kindness both privately and publicly
